Income Statement Flexibility
We are excited to introduce a powerful new set of features that enable users to perform more comprehensive analyses, comparing income statements from different periods and modes, and gain deeper insights into the financial performance of their assets.
Let's explore the details of this exciting enhancement!
Column Flexibility:
You have more control than ever over what is included/excluded from your Income Statement Comparison.
You can now:
- Exclude the Variance Columns
- Show $ Variance Only
- Show % Variance Only
- Select None for Columns 2 and 3
All of these changes help you access the views that are important to you with less effort and without the need to create custom reports in your accounting system.
Multiple Comparisons in the Same View
As part of this release, we have made it possible to add in a second comparison to your Income Statement! It is important to note that both Column 2 and Column 3 are being compared to Column 1.
More Flexible Comparisons
Prior to this release, the only comparisons available to income statement users were:
- Actual vs. Budget for the Same Period
- Actual vs. Actual for the Same Period in the Prior Year
- Actual vs. Actual for the Prior Period
Users can now pick from any of the available modes in any of the columns, essentially allowing for any Comparison Type. The new Comparison Period dropdown allows you to calculate variances on your comparison columns for any of the following periods:
- Selected Period (same period selected for column 1)
- Prior Period
- Prior Year
- Year Total (the 12 months for the calendar year of the Period Ending Selection for Column 1)
- Next Year
- Next Period
It is important to note that not all modes or date ranges will have complete data for the Year Total, Next Year or Next Period.
What are these changes building towards?
- Comparisons to Next Years Budget
- Comparisons to Proforma and Reforecasts
- $/SF and $/Unit Reference Columns
- MTD & YTD Views
New Top Tenants Widget on Property Profile
We added a new widget to the Leasing Section of the Property Profile Page that allows you to look at your Top Tenants by the following metrics:
- Rentable SF
- Annual Charges
- Annual Charges PSF
When viewing your Top Tenants by Annual Charges or Annual Charges PSF, you can filter the charges, allowing you to see Top Tenants by Base Rent, Free Rent, CAM, etc... By default, all charges are selected.
You can also toggle the number of tenants you want to be included in your analysis. The toggle options are 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, and All. This allows you to focus only on the top few tenants or to view all tenants ranked by the selected metric.
New Leasing Guidelines Widget on Property Profile
We added a Leasing Guidelines widget to the Strategy & Planning section of the Property Profile page. This widget allows you to memorialize the Leasing Guidelines for the property on an annual basis.
Given that different asset types have different needs, we designed this widget to be flexible, allowing you to name each guideline.
From there, the standard fields are:
- Lease Type (New Lease or Renewal)
- Starting Rent
- Escalations %
- Term (Months)
- Concessions (Months)
- Leasing Commissions ($ or %)
- Tenant Improvements Per Year ($)
- Market Comps Range
Guidelines can be added via a form that opens when you click the "+ Guideline" button. Once a guideline is added, you can edit/delete the guideline by clicking the icons at the end of each row.
In-app Notifications to Assignees and Reviewers
Users will now be receive an in-app notification when they are added as an Assignee or a Reviewer on a Report or on a Variance Workflow report. When you update the Assignee or Reviewer in the bulk actions, you have the option to send a notification or not.
New "My Reports" Section Added to the Reporting Feature
The My Reports section is where users can go to see all of the Entity Reports that have been assigned to them as either an Assignee or a Reviewer. Users can group the Entity Reports by Property or Report Name to better consolidate the view.
By Default, this page is set to only display Entity Reports that have an Active Status, but users can still see Archived Reports by clicking the Archived button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Clicking the View Report Link in each row, will navigate you to the Report Editor for that Entity Report.
