Release Summary:
- New Capital Project Planning Section
- Recurring Charges Added to the Platform
- Resizable Comment Pane
Capital Projects:
Capital Projects is a new section under Planning, where users can input/update capital projects, and create long-term capital plans all within Waypoint.
Capital Projects Tab:
- Under the Capital Projects tab, users can input/update capital projects. These projects can be viewed across any subset of filtered properties and are groupable by all of the non-currency fields in the input form.
- Before entering projects, clicking the gear icon will allow you to create your own list of project Categories, Subcategories, Priorities, and Statuses. The items added will be available to all users in your organization.
- Projects are added or edited via a form that has predefined fields, only two of which are required to create a project (Property and Project Name).
- Once the project timing has been entered, users can input budget data on a monthly basis. If you are not looking for that level of granularity, you can enter a project total in a single month within the range. Only months within the selected range will be editable.
- When saved, a project will show up in the project table. There are total columns for both Budgets and Actuals that sum up the monthly amounts entered in the input form. Users can see those monthly breakdowns in the main table by expanding the project row.
Capital Plan Tab
- The Capital Plan tab is where you can organize the capital data your team has entered into a year-over-year budget.
- Use the Date Range Picker to update the number of years to include in your plan.
- The plan can be viewed for a whole portfolio or a single property and can be grouped by property or category.
- Currently, the plan only pulls in the budget.
Recurring Charges:
In the leasing sections, Waypoint used to only show base rent. We are now showing all active charges in the Performance Overview and Rent Roll. Charges are grouped into four distinct categories:
