Income Statement Report Filtering Improvements:
We redesigned the way users run reports in the Income Statement dashboard. The goal of this project was to centralize the report parameters at the top of the page and make it easier for users to run different types of comparisons on the income statement report. Users will now also need to confirm their selections by clicking the "Run Comparison" Button. This button is only clickable if changes have been made to any of the selections since the last "Run".
There are now three distinct comparisons that users can run:
- Actual to Budget - for reviewing $ and % variances to budget
- Actual to Actual - for reviewing $ and % change over time
- Compared to the Same Period In the Prior Year
- Compared to the Immediate Prior Period
Depending on the Comparison Type that you have selected, there are different period grouping options as well.
Actual to Budget Period Grouping:
- YTD - Year to Date as of the selected Period Ending
- QTD - Quarter to Date as of the selected Period Ending
- MTD - Month to Date as of the selected Period Ending
- Trailing 12 - Last 12 Months as of the selected Period Ending
- Custom - Select any range of months
Actual to Actual Period Grouping
- Same Period Prior Year:
- YTD - Year to Date as of the selected Period Ending
- QTD - Quarter to Date as of the selected Period Ending
- MTD - Month to Date as of the selected Period Ending
- Trailing 12 - Last 12 Months as of the selected Period Ending
- Prior Period:
- Quarter - Compares to the immediately prior quarter (does not allow for partial quarters)
- Month - Compares to the immediately prior month
The Reset Button will run the default selection, which is Actual to Budget, YTD, for the most recent Month of Actuals on the Waypoint Platform.
Crosstab Attribute Improvement:
As a result of client feedback, we have hidden the attribute field from the Crosstab in the default view. As a result, the default view aggregates the data by Property and Period.
To add the Attribute field back into the Crosstab, all you have to do is Click the outlined button and it will be added back to the Crosstab and the user can select a different attribute from the dropdown menu that is available when a field is shown.
Database Migration for User Input Data:
This migration will enable our engineering team to move more quickly when building features that leverage user-generated data.
